It’s a big ride – further than we’ve ever ridden before in a single day in the event’s history. Starting at Albert Park, you’ll get to ride the entire loop of Melbourne’s Port Philip Bay and then some.
Just when you think you’ve found your rhythm along the Mornington Penninsula, you’ll head up the famous Arthurs Seat climb – it’s a short, steep climb but your legs will burn.
From the top you’ll be treated with views of the bay before a rewarding descent through fast-paced rolling hills towards Flinders. Rejoining the main ride at Dromana the final 50kms can’t be missed as you enjoy arguably the best of Beach Road riding on your return to Albert Park.
The 300 club
The route traces the entire coastline of Port Phillip Bay before taking you up the famous Arthurs Seat climb and returning to Melbourne via Flinders.
The limited edition jersey combines Hub Cycling’s all new elite fit with lightweight fabrics and a slim profile. It’s designed to perform well and look the goods.
The 300km ride is not the United Energy Around the Bay you know. Get in early to secure your spot in the exclusive club taking on the inaugural ride in 2018.
Extra rider services
The valet service is available for all 210km, 250km and 300km riders passing through Sorrento or Queenscliff. We’ll transport a small A4 valet envelope for you from the starting line to your lunch stop and back again. You can use it to carry a fresh kit, extra tubes or a favourite snack.
Riders with valet will also receive a second satchel to return anything back to the finish. Previous riders have used this return service to transport spare tubes they don’t need or warm layers. Return valet bags will be collected at the finish site in Melbourne.
