Ride Tasmania

Social rides

Ride with others

Hosted by experienced volunteer riders, Bicycle Network Tasmania runs regular group social rides across the state. All rides are free to join but if you become a regular, we do ask you consider Bicycle Network membership to protect you on the roads.

Rides often end with the time-honoured tradition of a coffee or tea at a local cafe.

If you are interested in learning to become a social ride leader, please send us a message letting us know what your riding experience is and your contact details.

Our next rides & events

Our rides are designed to help people get confidence on a bike and to meet others who are also interested in relaxed and interesting routes.

We try to offer varying route lengths and difficulties, and welcome suggestions for new routes and new volunteer ride leaders.

We also offer free and paid events to support your bike riding, such as expos, information forums and social activities.

Bicycle Network & Ride with GPS

Bicycle Network Tasmania is embracing the technology that makes it easier to get out on a bike and enjoy new riding options. We use Ride with GPS to manage the RSVPs for social rides.

Bicycle Network Tasmania uses Ride with GPS for:
  • great features with a free account
  • easy registration for social rides
  • no annoying emails
  • easy communication with the riders and ride leaders.
