Event Cancelled – Newcrest Orange Challenge 2021
It is with a very heavy heart that we let you know Newcrest Orange Challenge has been cancelled due to the coronavirus situation in New South Wales. Ongoing restrictions mean it will sadly not be possible to run a large public event this September in NSW.
The whole team at Bicycle Network are shattered to have to deliver this news, and we want to send our sincere gratitude to everyone involved for their support and understanding. The impact this cancellation will have on our riders, volunteers, team members and the local communities who host us is significant, and a tough pill to swallow. However, we appreciate we all must prioritise public health at this time.
In line with our COVID-19 refund policy, registered riders have been emailed the relevant details with refund options and next steps.
Choose your challenge
Newcrest Orange Challenge is a true Spring Classic. The car-free country roads are punctuated with pinchy climbs, rolling hills and challenging road surfaces that make the event no mean feat. Your efforts on the bike will be rewarded with sweeping views of the beautiful region. Not to mention the crisp beverage waiting for you at the finish line.
“A demanding yet highly achievable route and the promise of sampling some of the country’s top drops? We couldn’t resist taking a better look.” Cyclist Magazine
