The 2017 Route

We've revamped the Ride the Night Melbourne route for 2017 with 45% of it brand new and are excited to share some great new additions:

  • Two ride options now available - 64km or 42kms
  • Two new rest areas at Burnley Bouldering Wall and Melbourne Museum
  • New riding along the Maribyrnong River, Melbourne Docks and around the Melbourne Zoo
  • More use of Melbourne's amazing bike paths and cycling 'highways' - Canning Street, Footscray Rd and the Maribyrnong River Cycle Path

Worried about the distance?

Don't be! With Bicycle Network's trademark on-road support behind you and thousands of other riders around you, this is a ride for everyone – regardless of your type of bike, fitness level or riding experience.  There are two ride distances you can take and you don't even need to decide right now. There will be plenty of signage directing to you the shorter option on the night.

There'll also be plenty of tips available pre-event to get you ready, and you'll be having so much fun on the night that the time, and kilometres, will fly by!

Check out our preview of the 42km route, a shorter option we've introduced this year.
