Recall: Brompton recalls e-bike models

British folding bike manufacturer Brompton has recalled four models of the electric assisted version of its iconic folding bicycle.

Models M2L, H2L, M6L, H6L have been recalled because of a mudguard fault.

Objects may get trapped between the bike's mudguard and the tyre.

If this occurs this can cause the bike wheel to stop abruptly.

If the bike wheel stops during use, the rider may lose control of the bicycle and increase the risk of an accident or serious injury.

Owners of the affected product should return the product to their local Brompton store or Brompton Electric Accredited Retailer to arrange a replacement mudguard.

The product was sold nationally and internationally by Brompton Electric accredited retailers between 12 Oct 2020 - 6 Jul 2021.

Each bike is marked with a unique 10 digit serial number. Affected units have serial numbers less than 2107062303
