Community calls for a greener more liveable Wolli Creek Valley

A group of local residents have got together to launch a campaign to help create a greener, cleaner and more liveable Wolli Creek Valley.

The group have launched a campaign encouraging locals to call on the state government and local councils to increase greenspace and public access to the valley, and their top priority is:

"Dedicated cycleway and pedestrian path along Wolli Creek corridor that connects to existing cycling infrastructure."

Wolli Creek valley contains one of Sydney's most unique and beautiful natural environments and one of the last remaining pre-European landscapes in Sydney’s inner city.

But this new campaign believes that the valley is not living up to its potential, due to a lack of public access, lack of support for the natural ecosystem and indigenous heritage, and limited usable green space and amenities.

The group have a Facebook page and webform to help residents petition for change.
