The new overpass across the Westgate Freeway to link Brooklyn and Altona North will be open next Monday.
It connects via ramps from Rosala Avenue on the Altona North side to Carlsson Court in Brooklyn.
On the Brooklyn side bikes can connect up to the Federation Trail, however bikes can’t ride on the overpass just yet.
A temporary set up is in place while people are working on the overpass until December to install the remaining cladding and lighting.
While there are new staircases, these are not yet available for use.
It is the first of two similar overpasses installed across the Freeway, the other being at Muir Street in Spotswood.
