Mullum Mullum Trail map
Mullum Mullum Trail now completed

The long anticipated Mullum Mullum Trail in Melbourne’s east opens this weekend, creating a magnificent new circuit for riders.

There is now a well connected 42km circuit featuring attractive bushland to get more people riding and walking and getting vital exercise.

The official opening on Sunday completes the final stage of the project, the section from Park Road to Heads Road.

To celebrate the opening, Manningham Council has arranged a walk on the new trail at 10:45am on Sunday starting from 320 Park Road, Park Orchards, finishing with a free barbecue at Heads Road

Riders keen to try the route would be wise to start early and get through before the main event.

The 11km of the Mullum Mullum Trail links to the Koonung Trail and the Main Yarra Trail at Templestowe to create the longer circuit.

It also joins the EastLink Trail which goes to Frankston and the Main Yarra Trail also joins the Diamond Creek Trail and the Plenty River Trail. The Plenty River Trail then links to the Western Ring Road Trail at Greensborough. You can travel the EastLink Trail all the way to Frankston and the Koonung Trail all the way into the City.
