Welcome to The Ascent training zone, where we offer an action-packed calendar full of sessions for you to get involved in. At Bicycle Network, we want to empower you to get on your bike and support you on your cycling journey. We're here to help you build your confidence, get fit and create an environment where you can train with like-minded women. 

Whether you're training for a specific event or just want to get back on the bike again to commute to work, we have something for everyone. 

The offering of the training sessions have been separated into three levels, catering to a diverse spectrum of female riders, with the opportunity for riders to progress through the three stages in their cycling journey.

Riding levels definition:
Looking at joining one of The Ascent training sessions but unsure what your level of riding is? To help you on your way, refer to the below level descriptions to see what session you would best be suited to.

Able to ride at a relaxed pace on a bike path. Has the basic skills of being able to ride in a straight line, brake, balance and corner.

Has the skills to ride two abreast in a bunch and can hold a pace of of low-to-mid 20s. Is capable of riding on the road in traffic and has some good level bike skills.

Has a good base fitness and knowledge of road etiquette and hand signalling, is able to ride in a bunch and roll turns at a pace of 30km/h+. Is comfortable riding on the road with traffic.

All Levels:
Open to all levels of riders, regardless of what stage you're at with your riding journey.
