School students on the Great Vic bike ride

The Great Vic is the ultimate school camp. Building resilience and leadership, the ride provides students with a challenging yet fun experience along with the chance to engage and build relationships with people from all age groups and walks of life.

As a school camp it is unique. We take care of food, campsites, medical and provide full on-route support allowing schools to focus on education and developmental goals.

Local community groups

Every year, Great Vic riders vote ‘community spirit’ as the one thing that most shaped their experience on the event. They love the warm welcomes, the local hospitality and the opportunity to truly discover the very best that regional Victoria has to offer.

We work closely with communities the ride passes through to help you get involved and ensure you enjoy the Great Vic experience as much as our riders do.

Loyal riders

The Great Vic Bike Ride has been going strong for 35 years and there are some riders who come back year after year to enjoy a week on two wheels with new and old friends. We want to say thank you to these riders for continually supporting the event and being part of the Great Vic family, but we need some help.

While we have a list of riders who have joined the ride many times, we want to make sure we don’t miss anyone and would like you to let us know if you have been on five or more Great Vic Bike Rides.

If that’s you, please send us a message including the number of rides you have done and the years. We will then add you to our list of loyal riders.
