Day 8 – Little River to Christchurch

Arrow right

Make the most of your last day on the bike as we pedal from Little River on the Banks Peninsula and follow the Little River Trail to Christchurch.

Activities & highlights

It’s time to say goodbye to the mountains and hello to the hidden treasures of the Little River Trail. Ride through the Canterbury Plains with views of wetlands, extinct volcanic hills and old railways.

Christchurch, our finishing point in the urban hub of the South Island, will surprise you with its mixture of modern yet traditional English feel. Enjoy dinner on the iconic New Regent Street and reflect on the best moments of the past eight days with your new friends.

We will also recognise Anzac Day and commemorate the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
