Starting in Melbourne, the 210km Sorrento return ride takes in the best of the Mornington Peninsula on the way to Sorrento, before making its way back to Melbourne, via Rosebud, Mornington, Frankston, Mordialloc and St Kilda.

The route is relatively flat with just over 800m of climbing. The steepest parts of the ride are at Oliver’s Hill (600m of climbing at 6%), Balcombe Hill (roughly 2.4km of climbing at 4.4%), then just a gradual climb with some rollers thrown in for 6km as you come out of Mornington and head towards Frankston.

Extra rider services

Valet service

The valet service is available for all 210km and 250km riders passing through Sorrento or Queenscliff.

We’ll transport an A4-sized satchel for you from the start line to your lunch stop and back again. You can use it to carry a fresh kit, extra tubes or a favourite snack.

You will also receive a second satchel to return anything back to the finish. Previous riders have used this return service to transport spare tubes they don’t need or warm layers. Return valet bags will be collected at the finish site in Melbourne.
