We are pumped to finally announce Newcrest Orange Challenge is returning bigger and better in 2017
Save the date: Sunday 5 March 2017
The inaugural event in 2016 definitely lived up to its name, testing the legs and stamina of nearly 1,000 riders from across Australia.
Orange is a hidden gem, tucked between the rolling hills, beautiful vineyards, open roads and picturesque open plains of New South Wales' Central West tablelands.
It's time for you to discover what you’ve been missing.
In 2017 you have two ride options - 170km or 70km
In the style of a European one-day classic, the Newcrest Orange Challenge is no easy cycle. There are no shortcuts. The quiet and car-free country roads are punctuated with sharp, tough climbs, never ending hills and challenging road surfaces that will put all of your training to the test. You'll be left with just enough energy in your legs to celebrate with a victory lap of the velodrome, and a sample of the local fare at the finish line Food and Wine Festival.
Bicycle Network will be by your side the entire way with full on-route support, including food and rest stops.
We’ll take care of everything, so that all you have to do is ride.
