Night sewer works disrupt city, Docklands

Riders should be alert to temporary disruptions on several routes in Docklands and CBD south over the next 2 months.

Greater Western Water is undertaking geotechnical investigations for the new Siddeley Street Sewer that will involve scanning and drilling at a number of locations along Siddeley Street, Spencer Street, and Wurundjeri Way until late September.

The works are planned to be undertaken at night, 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, with 2–3 shifts in each location.

Construction of the sewer will be in 2023.

Temporary lane closures will be in place while works are completed. Parking spaces and sections of footpath adjacent to work areas may be temporarily occupied.

Traffic management will be in place to ensure pedestrians, bike riders and vehicles are able to move safely around the area.
