Recall: A nut on the loose

An overtightened wheel nut has led to the recall of one of Brompton’s folding bike models.

The Brompton P Line bikes have a nut on the front wheel that can be damaged when overtightened and could then become loose.

If this occurs, the front wheel nut could become dislodged during riding, and if the wheel comes off this may result in a crash causing serious injury.

Consumers can contact their local Brompton dealer to take their bike in and have the wheel nut replaced.

The bikes have serial numbers lower than 2203113405.

The bikes were sold nationally by Brompton accredited retailers between 12 Jan 2022 and 5 Jun 2022.
