Riders on Yarra Boulevard in Richmond will encounter road works over the next month.
Flashing light, raised wombat crossings are being installed outside Melbourne Girls College over the next five weeks.
These treatments have been endorsed as part of the area wide traffic management plan.
City of Yarra contractors will be on-site 9am to 3:30pm on weekdays during school holidays, and from 9:30am to 2:30pm on weekdays during school days.
No works will take place on weekends.
The road will be closed partially and will remain open to bikes and other vehicles during working hours.
Appropriate traffic management plan will be in place. Pedestrian access within the works zone will be maintained with the assistance of traffic controllers onsite.
Riders should remain alert and ride with care through the area.
