Federation Trail detours at Hoppers Crossing and Truganina

Level crossings work has resulted in temporary changes to the intersection of the Princess Highway in Hoppers Crossing.

Riders on the Federation Trail and local routes will find the existing crossings closed, with detour via alternative signalised crossings.

The changes are operational from 7am Wednesday 3 November to mid-December.

The trail will be closed on the north east and north west corners of the intersection at Old Geelong Road and Princes Highway. Detour via alternative crossings and temporary shared use path on the north east corner.

The Heaths Road pedestrian crossing (just west of roundabout) and section of footpath on Heaths Road and Old Geelong Road near the 7-Eleven will be closed from 7am Monday 8 November to 5pm Thursday 23 December.

Detour signage will be in place.

Federation Trail detours in Truganina

Parts of the Federation Trail in Truganina will also be temporarily closed to enable construction of important sewer works to support planned development in the Truganina Employment Area.

The trail will be closed between Banfield Court and Palmers Road from 7am Wednesday 3 November to 5pm Friday 17 December.

A signed detour will be in place via Palmers Road and Leakes Road, as outlined in this flyer.

LEAKES have set up a landing page with a series of FAQs people may have about the project.
