Riders will notice a water main renewal project underway adjacent to the Capital City Trail in North Fitzroy from next week.
Riders should not be impacted as the trail will remain open and fenced off during works.
Contractors for Greater Western Water (formerly City West Water) are renewing a water main along Brunswick Street North, just north of Park Street, as far as Holden Street.
Work compound (stockpiles, storage, parked vehicles) will be established nearby.
Motor traffic will continue to use Brunswick Street North during this time.
Activities start around 13 October and are expected to continue for three weeks.
Permanent reinstatement of the roadway will then follow, undertaken by City of Yarra.
Working hours will be between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
