The new underpass for the Galada Timbore Pathway at Epping has been opened to riders and walkers.
The facility has been delivered as part of the O’herns Road upgrade where a new crossing of the Hume Freeway has been constructed.
The underpass is huge safety improvement, and also provides better links to the local bike network with a new shared path along the upgraded O’herns Road.
It also means the end of a long detour through local streets while a section of the Galada Timbore Pathway was closed.
The project will also deliver a separated path on the bridge over the Hume. There is still a little more work ahead before that is completed.
