Djerring Trail
Djerring Trial temporary closures

Riders on the Djerring Trail in Springvale may be impacted as sections of the trail are temporarily closed from September to November.

Construction is continueing on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines between Caulfield station and Sandown Park station to install  signalling trackside equipment and technology as part of the Metro Tunnel.

While these works are low impact and will be predominately within the rail corridor, contractors will need to temporarily close of sections of the shared user path, the car parking on Newcomen Road in Springvale (in stages) and car parking at Springvale station.

Wherever possible the path will be kept open with traffic management or detours in place as necessary.

A pedestrian overpass at the corner of Queens Avenue and Victoria Avenue that provides access to Newcomen Road will be temporarily closed in early October and will be clearly signed ahead of the closure.
