Putting a spark into Collingwood
Wellington Street is feeling energetic

Construction activities will return next week to the corner of Wellington Street, Langridge Street and Derby Street in Collingwood as the new under road power cables are energised.

There will be minor interruptions to bikes through the precinct, but alas, no extra energy in the riders’ legs.

Works are scheduled to begin on Monday 3 May, heading south down Wellington Street and turning west into Derby Street.

Activities will continue until Friday 7 May 2021 and will be conducted during normal working hours between 7am to 4pm.

There will be temporary lane closures and traffic controllers will safely direct vehicles, pedestrians and bike riders around the work area.

Local access to residential properties and businesses will be maintained at all times.

CitiPower promises that Road reinstatement works will follow shortly after trenching works are complete.
