Signal construction works on the Pakenham/Cranbourne lines will result in periodic closures of the some sections of the Djerring Trail from next week.
The shared user path near Westall Station, along Rayhur St and Westall Rd, will be temporarily closed to enable trenching work to be completed.
The closures will be clearly signed with traffic management and detours in place as required.
Wherever possible the trail will be kept open the open with traffic management or detours in place as necessary.
The path will be reinstated after works are completed.
The works are underway at various times between 3 May and 31 May.
Pedestrian access to Westall Station will be maintained throughout the works.
Access to the Wordsworth Avenue, Clayton South pedestrian crossing will be restricted with traffic management in place to guide pedestrians around work areas.
Up to 50 car parking spaces near Westall Station (along Rayhur Street between Kombi Road and Nursery Avenue) will be closed in stages until July 2021.
