The new Federation Trail bridge truss over Sayers and Palmers Road in Williams Landing will be lifted into place this weekend.
There will be a road closure of the west side of the intersection, however the short detour of the trail on the east side of the intersection is expected to remain open.
There will be disruption to road traffic in the intersection and nearby for some days and nights as asphalting, landscaping and lighting is completed.
There has been good progress with the two other new bridges along the trail and it will not be long before all three will be open, giving riders a free run over previously annoying road crossings.
The bridges are being provided as part of the Western Roads Upgrade being undertaken by Major Roads Projects Victoria.
