Riders on the trail alongside Greensborough Road in Macleod will need to take care on a short detour next week.
Contractors will be fencing off a short section of the trail while trenching to investigate underground gas infrastructure.
The site, near the intersection with Erskine Road, is expected to be operational between Monday 27 April and Wednesday 13 May.
A temporary path will be laid around the site to provide through access to bike riders and pedestrians.
Work activity will be at night and traffic controllers will be present during this times.
During the day riders will need to excise care and good judgement when taking the short detour.
