Boroondara bike strategy
Help with the new Boroondara bike strategy

The City of Boroondara is embarking on a bike strategy update and it wants bike riders to help.

The existing strategy was adopted by the city in September 2008 to drive the development, improvement, and expansion of municipality’s bicycle network over the 10 years to 2018.

It is now expired and is in need of a refresh.

"We’re looking for community input to help us identify and understand the pressing issues and problem areas across the city, which impact on people’s ability to use Boroondara’s bicycle network,” the council says.

"If you don’t regularly cycle, we still want to hear from you. We want feedback from a wide range of the community.

"This is an opportunity to help promote, build and sustain a cultural shift in thinking towards alternative, sustainable transport options in Boroondara, which will enhance our links between neighbouring councils and the greater Melbourne metropolitan area.”

Feedback is open until Sunday 1 March 2020.

It is anticipated the draft strategy will be released for public comment in mid-2020.
