Our hearts go out to all impacted by the bushfire crisis

Like all Australians, we’re devastated to see the impact of the bushfire crisis currently gripping the country. Our hearts go out to all the communities impacted by this terrible tragedy.

Over the past few days we’ve received a number of enquiries around what impact the crisis will have on our upcoming events, in particular Peaks Challenge Falls Creek.

As the national focus remains on fire-fighting and emergency relief efforts, it is simply too early to know if or how our events will be impacted.

However, we remain strongly committed to supporting the communities who’ve so graciously welcomed us for many years and will do everything we can to boost their recovery efforts over the coming months.

We know that the economic impact of major events can play a significant role in helping communities get back on their feet, so we’ll continue to work with the stakeholders and locals to do everything we can to make sure our scheduled events go ahead; provided of course that it’s safe and appropriate to do so.

In the meantime, we’re focusing on offering immediate, practical support to the communities and those protecting them.

With the help of our amazing volunteers, we sent off three pallets of stock from our warehouse over the weekend, and are working with some of the stakeholders to send more stock and equipment as it is required.
