Jewell Station detour change

As the redevelopment of the Jewell Station precinct on the Upfield line intensifies, there will be a substantial change to the bike detour around the construction site.

From next Wednesday, 15 May 2019, the Upfield shared user path will divert via the western side of the Jewell Station precinct through Watson Street.

The diversion will be in place for the duration of construction on the project, and allows upgrade works to take place in the station’s forecourt.

People on bikes should follow all signs in place and ensure they take extra care when crossing the railway line.

Pedestrians will continue to be able to access Jewell Station via Union Street and Wilson Avenue.

The Jewell Station precinct development project is being delivered by developer Neometro and VicTrack.

It will transform the area with two new retail and residential buildings and improvements to the public realm, to make it safer and more accessible.
