Forth River valley & footy rides

Enjoy some of Tasmania’s best scenery on the Paloona Circuits ride taking in the Forth River valley and Braddons Lookout on Sunday 29 July.

The 32 km ride includes a 600 metre ascent and will start in Forth, travelling through Wilmot, Paloona, Bellamy, Forthside, Braddons Lookout and Leith.

And don’t fear, if the ascent sounds too much there is another route that can be taken than stays closer to the river.

The route is entirely on sealed roads, so suitable for all types of bikes.

Meet at the Forth Recreation Ground in Mell Street, ready to ride at 11 am. RSVP to Roger Nichols at sarncon@gmail.com or on 0418 508 435.

Ride to the footy

And if you are further south, Bicycle Network is providing valet parking at the North Melbourne versus West Coast Eagles game on Sunday 29 July.

The Bicycle Network Tasmania park and ride map shows you all the different places you can park a car then ride along the Clarence Foreshore trail to get to the footy, car parking hassle free. https://www.biketas.org.au/ride_to_the_footy_29_july

Once on the trail, ride to the bottom of Beach Street where a path connects the trail to the car park, from there it’s left onto Beach Stree and left on to Church Street.

Valet parking will be close to the northern entrance between 1.10 and 4.10 pm, just look for the blue marquee.

If you would like to volunteer to help at any of our valet parking events, contact Brad Woods on 0408 447 658.
