Hobart help to get Around the Bay

If you’ve longed to nip across the ditch to have a go at one of Melbourne's biggest bike rides, but don’t have anyone to ride with or are unsure about transporting your bike, then take a look at Bike Ride’s valet service for Around the Bay in a Day

Bike Ride's valet service includes:

  • Bike service
  • Transportation of your bike from and back to Bike Ride in Harrington Street, Hobart
  • Option to join the Bike Ride group tackling the 250km route
  • Pre-event on-road training sessions
  • Pre-event in-store nutriton, training and briefing

The Bike Ride valet service costs $300.You will still need to pay to get yourself to the starting point in Albert Park, Melbourne and your registration fee for the ride on Sunday 7 October.

To take advantage of the Bike Ride valet service, bikes will need to be dropped bike off to Bike Ride between Monday 1 and Wednesday 3 October and will be ready for pick up in Melbourne on Saturday 6 October at the Shrine of Remembrance between 2 and 4pm.

Once you’ve finished your ride you take your bike back to the Shrine for transportation to Hobart, where it will be ready for pick up after 1pm on Tuesday 9 October.

Around the Bay in a Day offers ten route options ranging from 20km to 300km, although the 300km has already sold out.

Bike Ride is organising pre-event training sessions and information to help people achieve the 250km route as part of the valet service. This route is the only one still available that takes in the entire Port Phillip Bay area.

Check out the Bicycle Network website for the route options and pricing. Bicycle Network members get the cheapest tickets and non-members can get an Early Bird discount before Friday 27 July.
