Woollahra Council want to hear from you

Woollahra Council in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is seeking feedback on the services it provides as part of planning for the future.

It is an opportunity for locals and people who travel through the council area to put forward ideas on how bikes could be prioritised.

Woollahra Council’s own cycle route map contains only two small sections of designated on-road bike paths within the borough at the moment, even though the council adopted a bike plan almost two decades ago with a range of separated and off-road bike paths.

Previous council efforts to develop a safe bike path alternative to New South Head Road have been met with objections from local businesses and residents over the potential loss of parking or sharing footpaths with bikes.

Click here to give any feedback and ideas that could help Woollahra Council improve its services for people who ride bikes. The survey is open until Friday 19 January.

For information on the positive impact bikes can have in local areas, check out the bike friendly communities page on out Tips & Resources sections.
