Maribyrnong Trail switches sides

Riders on the Maribyrnong Trail near Highpoint West will face a detour in early January as improvements are made to the Trail.

Fortunately there is an existing trail in Ascot Vale on the other side of the River, linked to a bridge, that will be used as the detour for riders and walkers.

The works will be taking place on the main trail on the west side of the river, adjacent to Hillside Crescent.

In the lead-up to the shared path being widened, a clump of Canary Island Date Palms and a Peppercorn tree on the river bank will be removed to make way for the improved path.

This tree removal is likely to take place over 2 days in the week starting 8 January 2018.

The path will be closed for these 2 days.
