Melbourne: Swanston Street
Dates: November 2017

City West Water is currently undergoing a water mains renewal along the west side of Swanston Street, between Flinders Lane and Collins Street Melbourne. Work is scheduled Weekdays from 9:30am – 3:30 pm, weeknights from 7pm – 5am and weekends from to 9am – 5pm.

During this time, cyclists travelling along this section of Swanston Street may be directed to disembark and walk bicycles through the open sidewalk. 

 

Brunswick: Upfield Bike Path – Jewell Train Station
Dates: 12 October 2017 – October 2019

Works as part of the Neometro project at Jewell station will result in the Upfield bike path being closed for at least two years between Barkly Street and Union Street.

Bike riders will be redirected via an off-ramp at Barkly Street, around Black Street and Wilson Avenue before rejoining the bike path at Union Street.

There will be cars using these streets during this time.

Extra care should be taken on Wilson Avenue which has blind corners.

Richmond: Lennox Street
Dates: early October to mid November 2017

City West Water will be undergoing water mains renewal along Lennox Street, Richmond. Work is scheduled to start in early October 2017 and will take approximately 5 weeks to complete.

During this time bike riders travelling along Lennox Street from Swan Street may be directed onto the roadway for short periods. Every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience during this time.

Parkville: Royal Parade & Grattan Street
Dates: Monday 2nd October to late November 2017

As part of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel works, new power conduits are being installed on Royal Parade at the intersection of Grattan Street.

The works will result in the closure of southbound service lanes on Royal Parade between Genetics Lane and Grattan Street. During this time, the southbound bike lane will be re-directed onto the existing shared path.

Grattan Street will also be closed in both directions on weekends during this period.
