1 Formal notice of 2013 election
Each year an election is held for two positions.
Statement of Vacancy
The 2013 election will be held to fill two 3-year terms.
Following a change to the Constitution at the 2011 AGM, from the 2012 Election onwards, each year two of the nine Board positions become vacant and open for election when the 3 year terms expire.
Current Board members
This year the positions held by Janice Simpson and Rick Barry have become vacant. Rick Barry will not be standing in the 2013 election.
The continuing 5 Board members are Simon Crone, Zena Burgess, Helen Millicer, Geoff Schomburgk and David Smith.
This year a call for nominations was placed in June Ride On® and in other electronic comunications and notices. (Section 31 of the Constitution)
Election Process (Section 13 and 32 of the Constitution)
All financial adult members 18 years old and over as at 5pm Monday 19 August 2013 are eligible to vote.
All voting will be conducted online through each member's BLINK.
Nomination opens: 9am AEDST, 29 July 2013
Nominations close: 5pm AEDST, 19 August 2013
Voting opens 9am AEDST, 9 September 2013
Voting closes 5pm AEDST, 30 September 2013
The two candidates with the most votes will be declared elected for the three-year terms.
The results will be tallied by everyonecounts.com, who are appointed by the Returning Officer for the election.
The results of the election will be announced at the 2013 Bicycle Network Annual General Meeting on 15 October 2013.
