The peaks are conquered in 2014
In the best weather ever for the event, an impressively fit and well prepared bunch of riders assembled for the 2014 running of the Scody 3 Peaks Challenge. By thirteen hours after the start, when the Lantern Rouge back marker officially closed the route, a host of new records had been set.

$32 million on Parade
The State Government has announced a massive $32 million renewal project on Alexandra Parade that will see separated bike lanes marching down the centre of the new boulevard. Amulet protects from traffic threat
Victoria Police has launched Operation Amulet, its major, annual blitz to reduce the risk on the road to riders and pedestrians in inner Melbourne, and this year for the first time, on Beach Road. Named operation Halo in previous years, the campaign has been enlarged and will tackle driver and rider behaviour on selected weekends during the next few months. Read more >
Detour at Dights Falls
From February 12, 2014 detours will be in place on the Main Yarra Trail, between Dights Falls and Turner Street, Abbotsford. The detours will be in place while path reconstruction works are carried out. The works are expected to take six weeks to complete.
Bay Trail threat eases
An attempt by a group of Frankston residents to commandeer the route of the Bay Trail along the Kananook Creek appears to have faded.
The moon, the pontoon and the dredge
Parks Victoria is at last dredging accumulated silt beneath the floating pontoons on the Main Yarra Trail, resulting in temporary closures that have confused riders who don't ordinarily follow the tide tables.
