I heard of cotton undershorts with the padding in them that can be worn under tracksuit pants but I don't know where to find them.
I know she could just wear lycra knicks under her tracksuit pants, the mental hurdle is too great at this stage, so I'm trying to be encouraging to her rather than scaring her off

If she starts to wonder about chafing after she's done a bit of riding, then you can say "these might look a bit odd, but use them once, and you'll never look back".
As a kid, I used to row 8's. We used to have short padded shorts. Not sure if they'd suit her but cant think why not under trackies. It might make you look like you are wearing nappy. Try Dobsons in Glenferrie Road Hawthorn. PDL saw the undershorts somewhere but she can't for the life of her remember where it was.
Yes I know she would be better off in the proper knicks, but it's about baby steps. The mental hurdle is a hard one to overcome and I'm doing all I can to encourage her to get going and stick at it rather than seeing her give up because she feels rotten in her clothes, is uncomfortable, etc.
You just love shopping dont you Magsmags... wrote:you gotta point your sister at TE...if she's got a spare couple of hours... there's cycling clothes for every size, shape, condition (even maternity)...
all the 'undergarments' , basically undies with chamois, are at the bottom of the page.
