I believe the last leg is 94 kms, with people riding 107 kms the day before, so I guess it might take most people 4-5+ hours to get to Perth.
Phew! Makes me glad I am home now.
We never managed to get over 15Km/h - that is roughly dividing Kms by hours done on computer, and my thing stops the time everytime the bike stops. Add the rests to that and I'd be happy to be home before dark!!
On a more practical note:
I received a BTA email in which volunteers are welcomed between 8am and 6pm.
BV advance crew will be setting up around 8am
Volunteers can help in various ways, not the least by cheering and welcoming the arriving cyclists.
Hmm, another task might be warning Saturday round the river riders to stay off the route, especially southbound.
Come to think of it, patchy rain may come in handy there
Anyway, I'll plan to be there - at some point. Before dark.
