Yep no rain with the exception of the first couple of days but very fierce hot winds which generally kicked up around the middle of the afternoon.
Once the winds had subsided it was great riding in the morning until the temperature rose. The Mercury newspaper building clock showed that the temp was 37 degrees on Sunday avro!!
But in summary once the riding was done the weather was kind enough to allow us to recover quite quickly. Having said that I believe that there were several heat-stress related complaints towards the end of the ride.
So the usual rules applied. Drink before you are thirsty and eat before you are hungry and sleep whenever you feel like it.
Enough of this forum nonsense. I'm going riding!!
