We are producing a feature length documentary called "Holding the Wheel" which is about the world of amateur club cycling and the social riding scene. We are particularly interested in exploring the explosion in popularity of cycling amongst middle aged men.
We are currently looking for characters to appear in this documentary.
We are looking for men aged between 35-60 years old, who are really into road cycling. The kind of people who spend a lot of money on cycling and for whom riding is a big part of their lives. They can be either competitive or social riders; new to riding or old-timers; and they don't necessarily need to be great cyclists.
We are interested in finding a gay man who fits this criteria to be one of the characters. Our film will explore topics like masculinity, male body image, fear of ageing and work/life/family balance, etc. So we really want points of view from people other than straight, white males.
It would be great if you could email me at email@example.com. I should mention that I am gay and so is my filmmaking colleague. It really shouldn't matter - but sometimes it does.
I have deleted her mobile phone number to avoid any potentially harrassing calls/ texts. Whilst you may like to think you are open minded & tolerant, others are not.
