Yes it is. It certainly has a noticeable tilt where they "repaired" it but presumably it is structurally OK.
I didn't think they'd repaired it yet... Clearly I'm not very observant at 7AM in the morning when running over it. Although I have now trained the construction worker in charge of the entrance gate (to the new apartments being built on the Vic Gardens side) to say "morning" to me every morning I run, which is nice.
Friday night had a police patrol car pull up a ninja cyclist outside my house just after I got home. At first I thought the flashing blue light was my alarm system going crazy (even though I'd switched it off - I'd been having a couple of issues with it so wasn't sure).
I tried to eavesdrop on the conversation but couldn't get much apart from the cyclist being extremely apologetic and ignorant as to why he didn't have lights on his bike. I believe the cops gave him a warning and he then walked his bike away (although I bet as soon as he got far enough from the police car he probably hopped on again).
I was tempted to yell out "There's a bike store 400m up the road that'll sell you lights at this time of evening" but didn't get there in time to make a nuisance of myself. Ah well.
Still waking up with a sore throat and felt terrible throughout Friday and Saturday nights, but the cold seems to reserve itself for sleeping time and goes away after I wake up. Patient 0 shows signs of superbug that attacks ONLY AT NIGHT.
Apart from that, the commute was passable this morning. No rain either = plus
