Reminded me: FYI to the swimmers out there who may not already be aware - there's a great crypto outbreak at Melbourne (and some regional) pools right now.
I swim too. And at MSAC once a week playing water polo matches... I swim at a private club pool so fingers crossed that being snooty (not snotty ) helps keep the crypto away! I don't know if my illness was related to that outbreak unless the incubation period is 3-4 days (started to not feel well on Sunday night - swam on Thursday). I haven't actually thrown up though and it doesn't feel like a gastro type bug.
I thought the outbreak was to do with the hot temperatures we had? I heard in summer not to head to a public pool due to the bugs thriving. Is this still continuing even into autumn?
