Draft Bayside Bicycle Strategy Released
What has happened so far?
The draft Bayside Bicycle Strategy has been prepared to guide the planning, management, provision and promotion of bicycle facilities and services across the City.
More than 1500 people contributed to the development of the draft Strategy between November 2012 and May 2013 through:
The Bayside BikeScope Survey which ran between November and December 2012;
A stakeholder workshop on 13 March 2013; and
An online discussion forum hosted on Council’s website between April and May 2013.
Where we are now?
At the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 24 September 2013, Council resolved to endorse the draft Strategy for community consultation. Council will be consulting on the draft Strategy between 25 September and 25 October 2013.
Provide your input on the draft strategy before final endorsement
The draft Bayside Bicycle Strategy outlines Council’s role regarding the development of the bicycle network within Bayside and Council’s approach to promoting and supporting cycling within the Bayside community and can be viewed at http://www.bayside.vic.gov.au/have_your_say.htm
