Been there, done that. Burgundy St near Rosanna Rd. Cars filtering either side of borken car - no-one stopped to help except me on my bike.
Make that 3, I help a guy push his car off Manningham Rd last year sometime, did note the total lack of help from other motorist who where happy to filter past and head on their merry way. We cyclist can be a helpful bunch
Hyundai Excel last year, Arden and Macaulay.
auburn and burwood a couple years back in the teeming rain, and yeah, don't expect any help from your fellow motorist.
Did the same ten years ago or so, car broken down in right-turn lane at traffic lights in torrential rain. Motorists behind blasting on the horn and driving around through the other lanes, then being hotted at by drivers passing in the straight ahead lanes. Driver was just about crying and said to me "Oh you'll get wet!" "Lady, I'm already wet, there isn't any wetter, it doesn't matter"
Or there's always the one I didn't help push out of the way
Semi-trailer full of bricks expired on Clayton road with the tail end halfway back across Dandenong road. Easy to get around on a bike, not so easy in a car. Lots of grumpy people blasting on the horn, because that'll make the semi simply vanish apparently... Driver standing around on the footpath waiting for the tow, he shrugged at the angry people, laughed when I asked him if wanted a hand to push it out of the way "Do you reckon if we push it up the hill a bit this lot will be happy?"
