if anybody saw the sorry sight of a amy's gran fondo kit wearer walking a bike citybound on the gct at about 5:00pm, that was me. another freaking busted frame! that's the third trek 520 frame i've broken in about 6 years, i reckon i get about 20,000kms out of each one. this time it was the drive side chainstay right at the axle. left work at client site in st kilda road, then just at the top of anderson street next to the tan something felt wrong, mad eit to the bike repair dude on the gct and did a few laps trying to locate the problem before i spotted it.
now let's see how that "lifetime warranty" goes third time around. i reckon trek might just have given up on me, and couldn't really blame them if they had. the crappy thing is that while i'm happy to commute on one of the roadies, i really prefer the tourer, and so just want soemthing quick, though ideally would be getting something custom made by gellie or baum, but don't wanna wait weeks/months for it.
