I don't know, but I 'had a go' in my case with Strava & Endomondo.
First you might need to turn on your GPS (network settings) so MapMyRide can track your movements.
The MapMyRide app might still be only in your app menu & you can tap/drag it to your desktop/wallpaper to help you access it while doing rides.
When you open the MapMyRide app, it might take a minute to confirm GPS signal - you'll need to be outside & in a pretty open area.
Once it's confirmed GPS signal, you can just tap "go" & off you go.
Oh, I forgot, you'll first need to jump on your laptop/desktop PC to set up a login to MapMyRide website so when your rides are tracked & then saved to the website (thats where they all get saved to when you finish each ride), you'll know how to log-in & get to them.
**Battery life - I do up to 3hrs ride no prob with a full phone battery on my Motorola Defy, and get home with 50% charge left.
Just a bike & a place to ride.
