Image released re sexual assaults in Melbourne's north west

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak with in relation to a series of sexual assaults in Melbourne’s north west.
The FACE image was compiled this afternoon after two more victims came forward and provided information to police following the release of information this morning.
Two teenage girls reported an incident which occurred on 4 January between 8pm and 8.30pm on Roberts Street, Lalor.
This now makes six incidents in total with seven victims since 30 December, 2012 that are believed to be linked.
In each incident, the women, all aged between 20 to 35 years, have been walking or jogging alone along bike paths when they have been sexually assaulted by a man on a motorbike.
The five assaults between 30 December and 4 January include:
- Darebin Creek Bike Path near Tooth Court, Epping around 7pm on 30 December
- Darebin Creek Bike Path near Gaze Court, Mill Park around 7.30pm on 30 December
- Darebin Creek Bike Path near Plenty Road, Reservoir around 8.10pm on 31 December
- Merri Walk Bike Path near DeChene Parade, Coburg around 8.45pm on 4 January
- Western Ring Bike Path near Alvarado Avenue, Thomastown around 9.15pm on 4 January
The man is described as around 170 centimetres, with a thin build and olive skin.
Investigators now believe he is approximately 30 years old.
He was wearing a full face motorbike helmet with a clear visor and riding a small motorbike, possibly with some green colouring.
Detectives from the Epping Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) have released an image of a man they wish to speak to.

Detectives from the Epping Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Unit have arrested a man following an investigation into a series of sexual assaults in Melbourne’s north-west.
Investigators arrested the man today and seized a motorcycle from a residential address.
Five sexual assaults were initially reported to police between 30 December and 4 January along bike paths in Epping, Mill Park, Reservoir, Coburg and Thomastown.
In the last 24 hours, a further six victims have come forward to report similar incidents to police.
A 31-year-old Lalor man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
