In this artical, I can understand the context that the police have said about bicycles passing on the right instead of the left, but as newspapers & media in general seem to need to squeeze out all the detail in news to fit in advertizing, then it's only expected that the public jump to their own unique intepretations & conclusions, therefore so ensues an argument over nothing really robbing oxygen from following news items demanding space for detail.
Media need to take on an additional role of education together with their biref to 'report', because much of what happens in the world needs to be placed in context so a clearer understanding is achieved by everyone who takes in this item.
More than 3/4 of media in Aust is taken up with gossip, opinion & argument. In a place like this forum, opinion is to be expected, as that is the product on offer here, where's professional media dress themselves up as some more, but delivery something similar or considerably less.
