The general gear purchasing mantra applies here. Cheap - light - quality; choose any two.
The tents with lateral hoops (like my Exped Vela 1 and the Hilleberg Akto) give more useful space inside with vertical side walls, a good sized vestibule, and generally allow a sheltered entry.
