As you may have read elsewhere, a member of this forum has recently been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour
that is currently being "managed" by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. A group of his friends has joined together with the local community to set up a fundraiser, and ALL the money raised will assist his family (3 school-age children) into the future.
The main fundraiser will be a benefit night - "A NIGHT FOR A FRIEND" starring Mark Andrew
and including an auction to raise funds. This is happening on the 2nd of November 2012 at The Grand on Cathies Lane
, Wantirna South, from 7 pm until 11 pm.
I'm hoping that many of you will be able to come along! The fundraiser - "A NIGHT FOR A FRIEND"When

- please eat before you arrive - food won't be available to purchase. How you can help
.1) Come to the benefit!
Details above. 2) Donate items for the auction.
Do you or your company have goods or services that could be sold at the auction? Memorabilia, vouchers, toys or anything useful you can donate. We will ensure that the donation and company name is promoted in the catalogue; we expect 300 – 350 people on the night.3) Donate cash.
This would also be a great help! If you can do this, the banking details are:
Account number: 146606702
Account Name: Brennan - Night for a Friend
[please DO NOT
use this account for ticket purchases - contact me directly for that]4) Spread the word.
Maybe somebody you know could help in one of the ways mentioned above. Do you know anyone who could get a signed AFL jersey? Does your auntie's friend have a hairdressing salon that could donate vouchers? Can you put posters up at your workplace? It all helps! Please just contact me for further info / letter to donors / printable poster / other contacts. Some administrative stuff
If you want to check the legitimacy of any of this, you can ring Michael Green, Principal of Ringwood North Primary School http://www.ringwoodnorthps.vic.edu.au
