No, we just know that the paper reported that a woman drove backwards into an old bloke standing on the road and that he died and that a policeman is quoted as saying "its just an accident" http://waverley-leader.whereilive.com.a ... it-by-car/
AN ELDERLY man who was hit by a car in Oakleigh last Wednesday has died.
The man, believed to be in his 70s, was hit as a car reversed from a carpark on Drummond St about 2pm.
He was knocked to the ground suffering severe head injuries, before being transported to The Alfred hospital where he died over the weekend.
Nunawading highway patrol leading Sen-Constable David Mattrass said the female driver had been left devastated by the incident.
He said it was highly unlikely the woman would be charged by police.
Of course the driver is now devastated, but only after the fact. Prior to actually killing someone most of Melbourne's motorists don't care enough before reversing across the footpath, into the street, through a carpark or anywhere else.
