Calling all hills-junkies…
Don’t know if this is your cup of tea – but I’ve found my training at The Spin Room over the last 12 months to be incredibly beneficial on the bike. This was the edge that got our crew through a record breaking attempt at the ‘7 Peaks’, and through the gruelling ‘Hells 500’ rides. This is no gym spin class listening to top 40 hits.. it’s getting yelled at by a chick with a shaved head, and it’s conducted on Watt Bikes (the ducks-guts when it comes to spin bikes).
The regular Spin Room classes are fantastic, but we thought with ‘The Three Peaks’ and ‘The 300’ just around the corner we could do with a little more specific training. Sam and Sarah were happy to set up a specific class – and we’ve still got a couple of places available.
This will be a closed class for our group on a Tuesday night at The Spin Room in North Carlton (Nicholson Street) at 7:30pm. The class is tailored to our climbing needs – focusing on hills and strength work. An 11 week session of classes is only $150 (10 classes + one free). We don’t have anything to do with the Spin Room, other than loving what they do! Feel free to join the Hells 500 crew for a bit of focused suffering, all in the name of making you hills-fit.
The first of the 11-week block kicks off on Tuesday 29th November. We’ll possibly have a tiny break over Christmas, which means these classes will finish mid-late Feb. I’ll make sure that we continue running them at least on a casual basis right up until the Three Peaks ride.
As mentioned, I’ve got room for a couple of extra riders – just drop me an email at email@example.com asap if you are interested.
